< Dog Rescue ~ Desperately Need Foster Homes In The St. Louis Area |

Our rescue group pulls from high kill animal control facilities and puppymills. There is soon to be a huge influx from the puppymills due to the economy and a lot of them are downsizing or getting out of the business completely. Over the years I have built up a rapoor with these breeders and a lot of them trust me enough to turn over their dogs to me. Just last week I took in 21 dogs from a commercial kennel and with the help of three other rescues that stepped up to the plate all of those poor dogs who have probably NEVER had a nice warm bed to sleep in did on Sunday night. They will be completely vetted, which to us means, heatworm check and treatment if positive, shots, microchipped, wormed, dentals and spay/neuter.
We are in desperate need of foster homes for some of these dogs. Puppymill dogs generally aren't very well socialized or housetrained and they need to learn that people won't hurt them. The little things that they do as they learn to trust you will be HUGE!
If it's in your heart to help these poor, abused, unwanted animals that we take in and find wonderful homes for please volunteer to open up your home and your heart to one (or more of course  ) to these wonderful dogs.

If you would like to come to an adoption event and talk to us we are at the Florissant Petsmart every Saturday except the first Saturday of the month and we are at the Glen Carbon, IL Petsmart every Sunday and the first Saturday of the month.
