Duke, a 3 yr old long haired German Shepherd who was found living under a car in University City in the middle of winter is my 1st success story. I replied to a listing by a young woman who had taken Duke into her home after luring him for 2 days to come out from under his home...the car. Despite the fact that she was not able to keep him for herself, she took the time to have him vetted and neutered at her expense. What a wonderful selfless act. The first time I saw Duke within moments I felt that this guy was a winner. It didn't matter that the tips of his ears were gone, probably from frost bite...and to make a long story short... I was right! Where he came from, we will never know...but I am so thankful for folks like the young woman, who took it upon herself to make a difference in his life. Duke now lives with me and my other 3 dogs. He is a joy and the perfect addition to my pack. |

| Awesome story! I hate to hear of neglected dogs. I own a German Shepard and they are the really cool dogs! |
